"The Fantastic Backpack" is the first segment of the 4th episode in the first season of ¡Mucha Lucha!. It aired on September 14, 2002, on Kids' WB and on March 12, 2004, on Cartoon Network.
Synopsis[]
When the three thugs from the Hairy Knuckles Academy get trapped inside Rikochet's backpack, The Three Mascaritas must go in and get them out. This proves more difficult than might be imagined as, internally, the backpack is a huge world unto itself... a strange, masked wrestling dimension that not only holds El Rey's corner... but dangerous secrets as well.

- The trio of Hairy Knuckles Brutos: Primadonna Hodges, Carlton Cold Jones, and Heavy Traffic make their first appearance in this episode.
- Inside Rikochet's Backpack, El Rey shows The Three Mascaritas and Masked Dog different places such as the hall of doors, upside-down bowling alley, a small town with a tall El Rey statue made with different objects, and Valley of Savage Backpacks.
- On the tall El Rey statue, Rikochet's cellphone was found by its found where it was recovered before escaping a group of Savage Backpacks.
- Rikochet's Pulverizing Pinball transformation from "How Rikochet Got His Move Back" is reused when The Three Mascaritas and Hairy Knuckles Brutos fight Six-Armed Monster.
- The animation of Savage Backpacks approaching The Three Mascaritas and Hairy Knuckles Brutos was used twice. The first time it was used was before several backpacks open the gate and reused again after defeating the Six-Armed Monster.

- Most buildings had a black pupil on its windows, but during the chase, the windows didn't have pupils.
