| — Rikochet's Catchphrase | ||
Rikochet is the main protagonist of the "!Mucha Lucha!" series. He is the leader of The Three Mascaritas and hangs out with his two best friends Buena Girl and The Flea. He is a student at the Foremost World-Renowned International School of Lucha. He is a proud, hard-working, excellent pupil who dreams that he will one day achieve his ambition of becoming Luchador Supreme.
He is voiced by Carlos Alazraqui in the first two seasons and in "The Return of El Maléfico" movie. However, in the third season, he was voiced by Jason Marsden.
Description
"Rikochet comes from a famous Masked Wrestling family — many generations before him have worn the mask and gone on to great glory. He's a ten-year-old who eats, sleeps and dreams about Masked Wrestling and wants nothing more than to carry on the family tradition. But Rikochet is still a kid, and even though he is the most naturally gifted Masked Wrestling student to ever set foot on tierra firme, he is still learning to find his talent, focus his attention and refine his skills. What he currently lacks in refinement, he makes up for with a "never give up" attitude. He's learning to stand tall and confident, while finding his way through the perilous, sometimes extremely colorful world of Masked Wrestling."
Appearance
Rikochet is a short, dark-skinned wrestler with a large, egg-shaped head and a small body. His mask is mostly blue and red, with thin gray outlines and a gray star on the front, centered above his eyes. He wears a sleeveless red unitard, red wristbands with spikes, and plain gray shoes. Underneath, he has been shown to wear white briefs.
He was unmasked once in "The Naked and the Masked" as he lost his mask. His face was fully revealed to have black-colored pupils with a small nose and mouth. In the first season, his hair was short and black with shaved parts on back of his head. In the second and third season, his hair was changed from black to brown and is slightly longer. His shaved spots are seen near the bottom of the back of his head.
Personality
Rikochet is an ambitious, hard-working student, who cares deeply about his friends and family. Though he is generally well-behaved, he isn't immune to bad or questionable influences and has moments in the show that serve as reminders that he is still a child.
Like many kids, he sometimes needs to be reminded to clean his room, as revealed in "Pig Out". "The Naked and the Masked" implies that Rikochet has a forgetful side, as he spends most of the episode without his mask, having forgotten that he put his mask in his backpack. Even after he remembers to keep his mask on, he forgets to get dressed, showing up to school in just his mask and underwear. This forgetfulness shows up again in "Laying In Ruins", as Rikochet is revealed to have a habit of losing important things, such as his mother's cape. The episode "Mask Away" reveals a silly, more rebellious side of Rikochet, showing that he enjoys wearing nothing more than his mask and underwear.

Trivia
- Rikochet appears in every episode of the series, except in "Niko Sushi's Happy Battle Funtime Dome 3000!", where he was only mentioned by The Flea.
- In the original pilot, he originally had a lightbulb-shaped head and a purple outfit.[34] It was later changed to a red and blue outfit to make the color from his mask and costume brighter and his body compressed.
- In some episodes, Rikochet's hairs are shown with or without the mask, but his hair color and style is inconsistent.
- In the first season, he appeared to have black, short hair when he was maskless. A small part of his hair was seen, while wearing his mask in "Woulda Coulda Hasbeena".
- In the second and third season, he had still had short hairs, but his hair color was changed to brown. However, in "Dare to Lucha", it reveals that his hair extends to the back of his head.
- In the early days before the show was pitched, he was originally known as "Torpedo".
- Rikochet's favorite food is custard-filled donuts.[35]
- Rikochet has a real name, but only Mama, Lonestar, and Abuelito knows his actual name. He also accidently reveals his real name to Buena Girl in the game of Lucha or Dare.[36]
- He is a big fan of The Real El Rey[37] and Blue Demon Jr.[38] as they are his favorite luchadores.
- He only takes his mask off when he bathes[39] or when he receives a haircut.[36]
