"Nightmare on Lucha Street" is the first segment of the 2nd episode in the second season of ¡Mucha Lucha!. It aired on September 20, 2003, on Kids' WB and on July 16, 2004, on Cartoon Network.
Synopsis[]
Rikochet enters a dream world where a mysterious masked wrestler is stealing people's masks. With the aid of Penny Plutonium's father, Rikochet must do battle in a fantastic world where anything is possible.[2]

- The title of the episode and the storyline is a nod to a horror film, A Nightmare on Elm Street.
- Running Gag: The Flea and El Cientifico eating something, while watching the match from the screen.
- In Rikochet's dream, the Lucha Street sign is based on the title of the episode with the same name.
- Mysterioso Grande makes his first appearance in this episode.
- While Mysterioso Grande holds a collection of masks, some of these respective masks belongs to some of the most famous luchadores such as Mil Máscaras, Blue Demon, El Santo, La Parka, and Super Muñeco.
- When Rikochet woke up, El Rey has Ultimo Bandido action figure from the first issue of the DC Comics' series, "El Rey, Come Home!".
- The Flea demonstrates his newest signature moves, "El Wedgie de la Muerte" with Private Reinhardt, where he would use this move to pull a wedgie on the opponent. This was demonstrated by The Flea before when he fought the "bad guys" students in "Heart of Lucha".
- This is the only episode Penny is completely unmasked when her mask is taken by Mysterioso Grande.
- Rikochet uses his mallet hand to whack the first and third head of the three-headed hydra. The "Whack-a-Grande" alludes to an arcade game, Whac-A-Mole.
- Rikochet beats Mysterioso Grande with paper and he counter his attack using scissors is a reference to a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors
- At the end of the episode, Penny kisses Rikochet for saving her mask, implying that she has a crush on him. This was later confirmed true in “The Incredible Penny Plutonium”.
- Capt. Snugglebumps wears Mysterioso Grande's outfit that would imply and foreshadow his return in "Field of Screams".
Goofs[]
- The buildings behind The Foremost World-Renowned International School of Lucha only show blue thin lines and is not colored.
- The light above the gymnasium is bigger than the holder.
- As the screen fades in to Rikochet, his face changes from determination to growl.
- After Rikochet removes cactus spines, he turns around quickly without moving his body.
- Some of the masks were recovered by the defeated Mysterioso Grande, however, Penny's mask is not shown until Rikochet grabs her mask.
