Michael Ryan is an American writer and story editor who is known for writing episodes from various shows. He was mainly involved in the different field of animation from animated series to an animated feature film and direct-to-video films. He was known for writing episodes of Phineas and Ferb, All Hail King Julien, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003), The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated.

He wrote some of the episodes from the first season of ¡Mucha Lucha! and he also wrote the direct-to-video movie, "The Return of El Maléfico".
