"How Rikochet Got His Move Back" is the first segment of the 2nd episode in the first season of ¡Mucha Lucha!. It aired on August 24, 2002, on Kids' WB and on March 12, 2004, on Cartoon Network.
Synopsis[]
Rikochet needs to find his signature move. And, he's about to be tested. So, he's got to get a signature move and fast. Growing desperate, he tries to buy one off the black market... this goes against The Code of Masked Wrestling and the law. With a huge posse of enemies on his back, Rikochet must reach deep down inside himself and find his signature move... or else!
Plot[]
Sr. Hasbeena explains the importance of signature moves. Minotauro shows of his signature move, in which he turns into a bull, Cindy Slam turns her hands into bricks, The Flea does something gross. But Rikochet doesn't have a signature move. Rikochet tries to ask El Rey for advice but the Headmistress shows up to ask Rikochet for his signature move. Rikochet tries to trick the Headmistress with help from El Rey, and is "saved by the bell"... the lunch bell, that is.
Rikochet talks with El Rey and Buena Girl about signature moves. Rikochet disobeys the Code of Masked Wrestling to buy a signature move from a guy in an alley.
Rikochet asks to buy a signature move and gets a wide selection from the alley guy. Then they are caught by the police. They run into a circus and get the circus angry at them. So now they have the police and the circus chasing them, and they run into a picture at the Lucha Dome, so now they have them chasing them. Then they run into an old people race, and cause Jimmy to lose control of his wheelchair and hit a pole that breaks on him. The old people try to chase them too.
Then the police and the circus and the Lucha Domers corner the Mascaritas and Buena Girl uses Bulldozer of Truth... to escape. The Flea finds a place to hide... in the Lucha School! They are confronted by the Headmistress asking for the signature move. The circus, police, and doomers break into the school and Rikochet prepares to fight. Rikochet tries to find his inner Lucha strength, and turns into a pinball and bounces around at everyone. Rikochet realized he defeated all the people, and calls his signature move the "Pulverizing Pinball". But Headmistress says it needs work and gives him a B-. Then, the old people come in.

- According to Heart of Lucha! (DVD & VHS), it is the opposite of the episodes that they aired on Kids' WB.
- "How Rikochet Got His Move Back" was originally intended to be paired with "Back to School" segment.
- This is the first episode to introduce the student's signature moves as it would be prominent throughout the series.
- This is also the first episode to see some of the student's signature moves for the first time.
- Minotoro uses a signature move to transform into a bull.
- Cindy Slam transforms her fist into a square, brick wall, which would later be named "Cindy Slammer".
- Zero Kelvin transforms himself into an ice block.
- The Flea uses a disgusting signature move to grossly attack the dummy, although, it is not shown onscreen. He previously used a signature to let stink out in the opening theme song.

Goofs[]
- Buena Girl warns Rikochet that buying a signature move from a guy in the alley is a bad idea, but her mouth is not shown, nor moving when walking behind Masked Dog.
- When Shoeshine Man asks The Three Mascaritas what they want, the scene continues with the transition sound and Rikochet speaking without transitioning to a new scene, while the last frame remained still until the next remaining frame of Shoeshine Man holding Rikochet.
- Before Shoeshine Man sits in a chair, a door closing sound was heard, but the door doesn't actually close.
