Trivia[]
- During the production of "Dawn of the... Donuts", the original title of the episodes was "Sprinkles".
- The title of the episode "Dawn of the... Donuts" is a parody of a horror film, Dawn of the Dead.
- Rikochet says, "OK donuts, we came here to pour coffee and kick butt, and we're all out of coffee!". This is a reference to the WWE wrestler, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's signature line: "I'm here to kick butt and chew gum, and I'm all out of gum!"
- There was originally a scene from the original storyboard that was cut from the episode as it would be inappropriate for the network. The original storyboard of the scene was that The Headmistress was taking a bath until a donut swims and it rises out of the water, then the donut plays "Jaws" music on a small cello. As pink and purple jelly filling splatter the walls, The Headmistress screams. [2][1]
- A sequence of The Flea's unwashed hands was also seen in the original storyboard scene, but the sequence was modified.
- The Garbage King statue from "Lucha, Rinse, and Repeat" can be seen in The Flea's hand in the original storyboard.
- Black and White Nurse Torso and Jimmy from the first season appeared in the opening of the original storyboard, but they were cut from the final version of the episode. [3]
