Coco Demento is a clown-themed masked wrestler who attends the Foremost World-Renowned International School of Lucha. He is the son of the Ring Master. Coco Demento was formerly a bad guy student in Room 207, but later became one of the supporting characters of the ¡Mucha Lucha! series.

He is voiced by Scott McNeil.

Appearance[]

Coco Demento is a chubby boy with light skin, curly orange hair, and sharp teeth. He wears a chartreuse mask with a brown eye piece and a round red clown nose. His costume is green with a camo pattern and three large brown buttons. He also wears white gloves and short white boots with black laces. As revealed in "Show Me The Funny", the top and bottom portions of Coco's costume are actually two separate pieces, and he wears pink boxers underneath with a yellow floral print.

In official artwork and in most appearances, Coco Demento's mask appears to fully cover his head, with a brown border around his mouth. But in "Show Me The Funny", his mask has a much larger opening for his mouth, and he appears to wear red lipstick.

In early artwork, Coco had a different color scheme. His mask was off-white, and his costume was orange. His color scheme was changed to have more green to make him fit in better as one of El Dolor De Kurtz's students.

Personality[]

As a clown-themed wrestler, Coco Demento loves playing tricks to make others laugh. Winning matches is not necessarily a priority for him, though he is shown to be capable of taking matches seriously when he wants to. Coco Demento is nonverbal, communicating only by honking his nose or with his facial expressions.

Trivia[]

  • Coco Demento  was clearly inspired by Los Payasos along with other clown wrestlers.
  • He is also similar to Coco Rojo II due to the first similar name and the struggles during the match.
  • It was revealed that he used to hang out with a group of mischief-making clowns in Fears of a Clown, which would probably explain why he was in the bad guys' class.
  • In "Lucha School" pilot, he was originally designed to be a rudo teacher as a prototype, but was later designed as a student when ¡Mucha Lucha! was greenlit for production.
