Trivia

  • This season has some of the biggest changes such as:
    • The show's rebrand as "¡Mucha Lucha!: ¡Gigante!" to incorporate much more actions, badder villains, and more wackiness than the first two season.
    • Several new staffs are involved in this season.
    • Jesus "Chuy" Flores is the music composer/remixer for the theme song.
    • Rikochet and Mr. Midcarda's voice actor Carlos Alazraqui were recast with Jason Marsden based on the studio's decision.
    • Michael Tavera was also replaced with a group of composers known as Mambotron for this season.
  • There were alternative names before Gigante was added to the title for the rebrand such as "The Mega-Matches" and "Maximo".
  • The Three Mascaritas were originally going to face off more supernatural forces such as aliens, spirits, sea monsters, serpents, dinosaurs, pirates, zombies, and robots.[1]
  • This season was originally planned to bring back some of the familiar locations from the first two seasons, but the only locations that were brought back was the match at the garbage dump which was redesigned in "Buena Basura".
    • Some of the new locations such as the mythical jungle, deserts, under the deep sea, arctic tundra, the center of the Earth, and expanding the world of outer space were planned to be explored in this season, but the only new locations were explored was the jungle from "Slamazon and On" and Mars from "Mars Madness".
  • This season was also planned to bring back villains from the first two seasons such as Mysterioso Grande, El Evil Dentista of Doom, Keelspbellsvin, Perro Salvaje, and Sushi Monsters. However, the only villains that actually returned are Mysterioso Grande in "Field of Screams" and Perro Salvaje in "Dare to Lucha".
